Make your own Makgeolli at home in the blink of an eye. This powder with water will bring you everything you need to carry out your fermentation.

Makgeolli is a traditional Korean alcohol with a milky aspect around 4 to 7°. On the palate, its taste is deliciously sweet and more or less sweet depending on the rice used. Makgeolli most often comes from the fermentation of rice, after cooking. Its production method is closer to the beer.

Preparation steps:
1. Pour 1 liter of lukewarm water (not hot water) into a 2 liter container. Gradually add the rice powder, mixing with the water until it has melted.
2. Lightly cover your container so that the air can escape and leave to ferment at room temperature (20-25°C) for 48 hours. After this time, your makgeolli will have reached 5° in alcohol but the taste and the degree of alcohol may differ depending on the temperature of your room and the duration of the fermentation.
3. Depending on your preferences, you can then add honey, sugar, lemonade, fruit juice or syrup.
4. Store your makgeolli in your refrigerator for 1 to 2 days for better tasting.
